Meeting Pastor Gabriel and his family for the first time was a true blessing. As the director of the children's program with Salud Que Transforma in El Cortijo, Palin, Pastor Gabriel dedicates his time and heart to guiding 55 to 60 children each year. These children come from difficult backgrounds and face challenges with basic skills like reading and writing. Yet, through this program, they find hope, education, and a chance to grow in Christ.

Teaching Beyond the Classroom
Pastor Gabriel’s work goes beyond just helping with schoolwork. He teaches the children God’s Word and encourages them to lead worship. The children spend extra time learning praise songs, preparing to lift their voices in worship. This practice builds their confidence and deepens their connection to their faith. Watching these young voices raised in song is a powerful reminder of the impact this program has on their spiritual growth.
The children’s struggles with reading and writing are met with patience and care. Pastor Gabriel and his team assist them with their classwork, helping them overcome obstacles that might otherwise hold them back. This support creates a safe space where children can learn and grow both academically and spiritually.

Meeting Basic Needs with Compassion
Feeding the children twice a week is another vital part of the program. Many of these young ones come from homes where food is not always guaranteed. Providing meals ensures they have the energy to participate fully in activities and learning. This practical care shows the children they are valued and loved.
The program’s annual budget is $23,000, which breaks down to about $32 per child each month. These funds cover school supplies and food, essential for the children’s success and well-being. Every dollar helps sustain this important work and makes a real difference in the lives of these children.

How You Can Help
Supporting this after-school program is a way to invest in the future of El Cortijo. The children involved are the next generation of Christ followers who will influence their community and beyond. Your prayers and financial support are crucial to keep this program running.
